From Dr. Spock to Dr. Phil and A little Erma Bombeck thrown in for humor, that's what we are!
Parenting Tips is to this generation what the coffee clutch or sharing ideas over the fence, was to our parents. Parenting Tips offers a way to learn new parenting ideas and recall the tried and true ones. We’ll offer ideas from parents for parents. Parenting Tips is not meant to be a medical site. This site is for you to find ideas that will make your life as a parent the best it can be
As a group, Parenting Tips are mostly Moms. Our life experiences have been somewhat different. We’ve been married Moms, single Moms, welfare Moms, unmarried pregnant Moms, happy moms and sad moms. What we have in common is that we tried to do our best when parenting our children. Life throws you curves, sometimes you handle them perfectly, other times we fumble or bobble the ball. The true trick to being a good parent isn’t never making a mistake. It’s never giving up. It’s knowing when to listen and when to talk. It’s loving through the easy and the difficult times. Parenting Tips will help you realize everyone has great days and not so great days.
Together we have 9 children, 4 sons, 5 daughters and 3 very special grand kids. We have our kids, their kids, his kids and my kids. When I say we have tried many different ways to raise our families, believe me we have! Some worked, some didn’t. Some worked great for one child but not the other. Each child is different (now there’s a new concept). The try and try again rule rings true when it comes to parenting. You have to be creative until you find the one idea that works for your family. If you find that your family problems are more than you can deal with, please get help. Talk with your family Doctor or Pastor, they can recommend someone for your family. Usually friends have children around the same age as your kids, check with them too.
All in all, welcome to Parenting Tips. We hope you’ll enjoy your visit enough to tell your friends and relatives about us. If you have parenting ideas that you would like to share with us, please send them to us.
Keep on smiling (your kids will wonder what’s up with that)
